Questions from a newbie - will be voting in the Chatham election for the first time. First: Can someone tell me where the voting will take place and what the hours are? Thanks! -Karen Jackson
Second question - I know the people involved in Education Counts will need to be able to answer questions about the budget process. Can anyone comment about what will happen if the school budget isn't passed?
Voting hours are 2-9pm...Borough residents vote at the Middle School...Township residents vote at the High School.... If the budget does not pass, it is reviewed by the two town governments...they come to an agreement as to how much of the budget needs to be cut...the Superintendant and BOE then decide how the cuts should be allocated...the town governments control how much will need to be cut; the Super and BOE decide what to cut
What a turnout this morning for the train station! Thanks to everybody who volunteered and to Karen for coordinating (and to whoever brought the donuts!)
